My sweet addiction

by MEL-. The title says it all. A spontaneous effort as usual, so it aint that good. Anyway if you visit this blog could you please please please PLEASE comment above? It freaks me out when I don't know who's reading this. I just want to know. You can just say 'hi' if you have nothing to say.

Deep into the skin
Gnawing at my flesh
I crave
For savory pleasures
Life-threatening
Risk Taking

My open wounds
You will not figure out
Try to tear me apart
But I've already done that
There is nothing that you can do for me.

I groan and moan, only to my pathetic mess
For I just cannot deal with all this hypocrisy
And superficial faces the world is giving me.
Break me down, break me down
Into nothingness
Into the invisible me that I am.
And walk away from this broken heart,
..As they always do.

I hide in the corner
Ponder to myself
Of all the darkness in this life
What could be more inviting?

Soon the pain will be over
As the song goes
"A moment's pain for a lifetime pleasure"
You will never truly see
Beyond the shadows of someone
Who is hurting so deeply

The problem is they don't want you to look
Don't need your sympathy
Just plain acceptance and understanding
But all you do is drive the dagger into the heart
Penetrating
The Pain.

You would think that 'my sweet addiction'
Would refer to something as pleasant
As chocolates, sweets, colours
Rainbows, cubs, and Love.
But nothing of that sort
Because my life is just the way it is
And you can't stop me.

Lock myself in my room
Day in and day out
Hoping the music drowns out
The sorrow that is gradually melting
And turning into something permanent
Irrepairable

Scringe with pain
But it will last, just a while
I need it right now
So desperately that
You wouldn't feel
The way I feel.

You can't stop me.
